El Bosque Hacienda Ecologico Inn”, is a tourist-residential complex, located in the Central Pacific region, in the San Mateo Canton of the Province of Alajuela. It is 1.5 kms from the Central Park of this district, on the old road to Esparza.
The project has 25,000 sq.mts of residential area with the following facilities:
• 4 cabins of 40 square meters each, with wood finishes on the outside, cement inside, with ceramic floor, glazed tile roof, perling trusses.
• 3 duplex with two apartments each of 75 square meters each, with cement finishes, ceramic floor, glazed tile roof, perling fences.
• A house-ranch of 300 square meters of treated eucalyptus wood, ceramic floors, perling trusses.
• Three swimming pools.
• 1 saloon for special events for the capacity of 100 people
• 1 smaller saloon for 25-30 people inside the main ranch.• 2 warehouses to store utensils and tools
The cabins and villas are distributed on terraces of two units each, which allows greater privacy to its inhabitants and visitors. All residences have ocean views. The residential area has enough parking space for dozens of cars and mini-buses.
At this time, the facilities are in the process of renovation and remodeling, we are working hard on this.
The project was born with the idea of a man, passionate about the care of nature. The farm was acquired 22 years ago. The owner created the seedlings for planting timber trees, such as: Teak, Mahogany, Cocobolo, Cedar, Guanacaste, Cenízaro, Laurel, Madero Negro, Mahogany Cedar, Yellow Cortés, and fruit trees such as Manga, Lemon, Water Apple, Avocado, Guaba, Soursop, Caimito, Apple Rose, Sapodilla, Loquat, Chestnut, Cas, Nance, and I plant them throughout the farm of 115 hectares of land, with the idea of feeding the animals in this area.
The Canton of San Mateo is not only known for its exquisite natural beauty and fruit production area, but also for the opening of new logistics projects and industrial parks, which makes Orotina and San Mateo one of the important tourist and residential destinations of the country. The property is located near several beaches such as Punta Leona, Herradura, Jaco, Puntarenas and also the Carara Biological Reserve, the majestic Turrubares Hill, Tarcoles River with the crocodile sanctuary, the Canopy Tour and much more. All less than 1-hour drive.
The property can be accessed by 4 major national roads such as Monte Aguacate, Highway # 131 that connects with Route # 1 Cambronero to go to the beaches of Guanacaste and national route # 27 that leads to the border with Panama.
At this time the project has 115 hectares of extension, located in one of the highest hills in the area, and is considered as a green lung of San Mateo and Orotina. The climate of the area is very cool with balanced temperatures with constant cool breezes from the Orotina Valley. This climate is considered one of the healthiest in the world, according to the study of the Natural Geografic magazine.
In the farm live many wild animals such as deer, panthers, guatusa, tepescuincle, white-faced monkey, congos, pizotes, raccoons, iguanas and others. Also the birds like toucans, yigüirros, purple dove, yurela dove, tortillas, piapas, pillboxes, martín peño and a variety of birds of passage.
The property has its own spring water source that supplies all homes and garden irrigation. In addition to this, there are another 10 small springs, and the Rye River, which is born 700 meters from the property.
The property has 12 km of hiking trails to observe wildlife, native animals of the area in their natural habitat, and the wide variety of birds that inhabit here. In addition, the trails have bridges, ranches and observatories within the forest.
These facilities allow the exploitation of this beautiful property for ecological tourism, Hotels and apart-hotels, Rehabilitation Clinics and for the elderly, where each patient can count on privacy and peace.
