Beach Front House Esterillos Oeste

Located just 10 steps from our property is the quiet and secluded beach of Esterillos Oeste. All of the wood work in our beach house is handcrafted from tropical hardwoods. To protect the forests we use only timber from fallen trees. All countertops and sinks were hand built from colored polished concrete. The house is two storie. Casa Sirena has 4 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms. Each of the bedrooms have a queen sized bed and the largest bedroom has an additional single bed. Two bedrooms upstairs share one large bathroom, each with it’s own entrance. There is abundant closet and drawer space. The linens and mattresses are of the highest quality. Each bedroom has air conditioning and a ceiling fan. With the windows open, you can be lulled to sleep by the sound of the sea.

There is a small office downstairs that has a single bed also with air conditioning.

Downstairs is the kitchen / dining room and living room area which is spacious and comfortable

The full kitchen is equipped with top rate appliances and everything one would need to prepare meals. There The dining room table seats 12 comfortably. There are several secure drawers with locks in which valuables may be stored.

There is a flat screen cable TV, wireless internet and a DVD player.

With the downstairs doors open you have a perfect view of the coconut palms on the beach. The downstairs also has air conditioning and fans. There is a fully equipped laundry room just off of the kitchen.

Outside there is a pool and a covered rancho with a sink and simple barbecue. This is a fun social area and very easy and convenient. Lounging in the pool sipping marguerites you can listen to the waves of the ocean and squawks of the scarlet macaws roosting and eating in the nearby trees. Butterflies flutter and iguanas sun on the trees. Sometimes when the mangos are ripe the white faced capuchin monkeys come to feast. Palm trees are everywhere giving shade and fresh coconuts for coco water (agua de pipa) and coconut meat whenever you wish.

A caretaker and his family live on the property. This cottage could be converted into a small rental unit.

Our house (Casa Sirena ) is perfect for a large family or a group of friends or just a quiet getaway for a couple or small family. It is also great for entertaining. Esterillos beach is a very quiet and secluded local beach far from the over developed tourist spots. It can be perfect for surfing and boogie boarding and at other times great for swimming and playing in the water.

It is a long and beautiful beach . You can walk for miles in either direction. Close by on the beach there are many large tide pools perfect for children (and adults) to swim in , snorkel or just relax and watch the ocean and sunset.These were formed by lava overflow and you may also find some fossils and shells (and maybe some monkeys) beach combing. There is a majestic bronze mermaid statue right on the beach of Esterillos Oeste that has become an icon of the wonderful Esterillos Oeste.

Esterillos Oeste is only 1 1/2 -2 hours drive from the airport on the Central Pacific coast , Although Esterillos Oeste is a small, and typical village on a tranquil beach , it is just 20 minutes South of the beach town of Jaco which has casinos, restaurants of all types,shops,bars, jazz and lots of night-life. Forty minutes south of Esterillos is the town of Quepos and the world famous Manuel Antonio National Park, which is one of the finest rain forest parks in the country. Manuel Antonio is home to a large diversity of wildlife including two species of monkeys, one of which is very rare and use their bushy tails for balance. There is a sloth trail, turtles, and many birds. It is a great place for hiking and has beautiful white sand beaches. There are some incredible views from high up on the rocky cliffs a ways through the jungle.

Other activities in the area include zip lines, monkey tours and birdwatching in mangrove swamps, deep sea fishing and diving, surfing, surfing lessons,jungle or beach tours on horseback, and boogie boarding, snorkeling, and massage.

Casa Sirena is a perfect home base to enjoy the wide variety of activities in the area or just chilling beach side, sunset watching, and boogie boarding.
